Shirobana-Hanamasu (also known as the White Japanese Rose = Rosa Rugosa) grew so much in Onosaki of Ishinomaki-shi, Miyagi, that they were even shown on tourist maps. However, due to the tsunami during the Great East Japan Earthquake Disaster, the fields were unable to produce anymore crops with damage from salt breeze. It was a year after the earthquake disaster, when I participated as a volunteer, when I came across the White Japanese Rose. I had already been a researcher in medicinal herb studies, and decided to cultivate Rosa Rugosa, that was also a common raw material in supplements once again, in order to produce and merchandize it. Instead of just volunteering, I wanted to introduce a new path for the victims of the disaster by cultivating and merchandizing this new product as the new bread and butter to their lives. Which is why I decided to take on this project with crowdfunding!

After my resignation as a teacher, I acquired qualification in phytotherapy, as a plant therapist. I suggest lifestyles utilizing plants in aromatherapy and forest therapy, for a healthier life.
